EPL Kickoff | Mourinho has his 3 corner stones

The transfer window is closed for Jose Mourinho and having spent £146million, the ‘Revived One’ seems to have been able to put in place the three corner stones, from which he hopes to rebuild a feared team akin to the teams built by the departed Alex Ferguson.

Defense – Eric Bailly
The defender snagged from Villarreal is already being compared to the retired Rio Ferdinand on account of his ‘smooth’ performances.
He is not afraid to tackle, he is quick over the ground and he is a giant in the air.\

Attributes: Power, Height and Composure
What will he bring?
He will bring a much-needed stability to the back four and ensure that United have a platform on which to build. Though he is prone to some moments of over-confidence, Michael Carrick, Pogba and Schneiderlin should provide some cover for these mistakes.
Midfield – Paul Pogba
The 23-year-old comes with a solid and fearsome reputation, built on solid performances for Juventus and then for France.
Even though he was supposed to star at Euro2016, he showed that he has all the attributes to become the best central midfielder in the world.
Attributes: Power, Height, Passing ability, Resoluteness and a Good Engine.
What will he bring?
He brings a stature on the ball that has been sorely lacking since Paul Scholes retired for the second time in 2013. He can play at any point in midfield but his transfer gives United an aura of having the costliest footballer in the world – that alone would not win titles but some opponents will fear just that sum.
Attack – Zlatan Ibrahimovic
Though there have been some sniggers on account of Zlatan been 35-years-old, Mourinho perfectly understands what the great Swede will bring to Old Trafford.
Attributes: Ego, Awe and Goals

What will he bring?
Zlatan will mirror his manager on the pitch, as he will command the attention of both teammates and opponents. He would also score his fair share of goals even though how he will cope with the incessant pressure of the EPL and the fixture congestion in December and January will be the real test of his staying power.
For all intents and purposes Mourinho now has all the cornerstones needed to plot a way to winning the EPL, something he normally leaves to the second season.
