Nnewi agog as Rhema Church dedicates new Cathedral
 “Thus,
all the work that King Solomon performed in the house of the LORD was
finished. And Solomon brought in the things dedicated by his father,
David, the silver and the gold and the utensils, and he put them in the
treasuries of the house of the LORD”, (1 Kings 7:51; 2 Samuel 8:11).
“Then Solomon assembled to Jerusalem the elders of Israel and all the
heads of the tribes, the leaders of the fathers’ households of the sons
of Israel, to bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of the
city of David, which is Zion.…”, (2 Chronicles 5:1). The above testimony
was replicated recently in Nnewi, Anambra State, as Rhema Deliverance
Ministry dedicated a gigantic temple to the glory of God, reports
Correspondent, THEO RAYS.
 The
Industrial and commercial city of Nnewi, Anambra State, was agog on
Sunday, July 31, as the city’s branch of Rhema Deliverance Mission
Church located at Akabukwu, along new Onitsha road, Nnewi, dedicated
its newly built cathedral estimated to gulp N200 million.
 The
founder of the church, Bishop Dr. Arthur Nwachukwu, who dedicated the
church to the glory of God, led a cream of clergy men and other
personalities to the occasion.
 Among
the dignitaries are former chairman of Anambra State chapter of
Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Bishop O.C. Dominic; former CAN
chairman in the South East, Archbishop A.A. Nwodika; Bishop Nwizu
Morah; the traditional ruler of Umunya, His Royal Highness, Igwe
Hyacinth Onyekwuruje and other church faithful from Nnewi and other
branches.
 While
dedicating the cathedral, Bishop Nwachukwu, who was accompanied by
his wife, Patricia, and his sons, Pastors Chidozie and Anene who are
senior pastors of Abuja and Lagos branches of the Church, said that the
cathedral was another mile stone which God has led the church to
accomplish.
 The
Bishop said that the senior pastor of the Nnewi branch, pastor Ejike
Nwachukwu, got the inspiration from God to come and spread the gospel at
Nnewi, noting that the completion of the cathedral within a space of
one year showed that what he was doing in the vineyard of the lord was
yielding positive results; adding that the cathedral would forever be a
place where people with good intentions would come for salvation,
deliverance, healing, blessing, breakthrough and prosperity.
 In
his message, the chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN),
South East, Archbishop (Prof.) David Ebelechukwu, called on President
Muhammed Buhari, to sustain the secularity status of Nigeria because,
according to him, no one particular religion in the country should
claim superiority over the other.
 Reiterating
that God is at work in Nigeria, Archbishop Ebelechukwu, who is the
chairman of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Anambra State
chapter, called for mutual understanding among the two major religious
in the country, Christianity and Islam, stressing that there should be
no contemplation of Islamizing Nigeria in any way.
 Referring
to the prevailing hardship among Nigerians, the Archbishop, who is
the founder of the Overcomer Bible Church, requested Mr. President to
commence immediate implementation of the All Progressive Congress
(APC), manifesto in order to reduce sufferings of Nigerians; adding
that President Buhari should focus more on building the economy of the
country.
 In
his own remarks, the Senior Pastor of Rhema Deliverance Ministry,
Nnewi, Pastor Ejike Nwachukwu, expressed gratitude to God for the
completion of the cathedral within record time, which he attributed to
the outstanding grace of God upon the church.
 He
said that with the dedication of the cathedral, the faithful would
expect greater grace of God, testimonies, miracles, signs, wonders and
demonstration of power and authority of God; adding that it was not
easy building the edifice as they faced spiritual and physical
challenges from satanic agents during the construction.
