NDLEA arrests 156 drug traffickers in Anambra - Commander

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, has arrested 156 drug traffickers in various com­munities raided by the agency in Anambra State between Jan­uary, 2016 and May, 2016; Mr Sule Momodu, NDLEA Com­mander in the state revealed this in a press conference Wednes­day adding that those arrested include 146 males and 10 fe­males.
Momodu told newsmen that within the period under review, the agency seized drugs weigh­ing 923kg and three vehicles, adding that 65 out of the sus­pects arrested by the agency were charged to court.
The NDLEA boss commend­ed Governor Willie Obiano for being of tremendous help which, according to him, had propelled the agency to accom­plish a number of feats; but re­gretted however, that lack of op­erational vehicles had continued to limit their achievements.
