NDLEA arrests 156 drug traffickers in Anambra - Commander
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, has arrested 156 drug
traffickers in various communities raided by the agency in Anambra
State between January, 2016 and May, 2016; Mr Sule Momodu, NDLEA
Commander in the state revealed this in a press conference Wednesday
adding that those arrested include 146 males and 10 females.
Momodu told newsmen that within the period under review, the agency
seized drugs weighing 923kg and three vehicles, adding that 65 out of
the suspects arrested by the agency were charged to court.
The NDLEA boss commended Governor Willie Obiano for being of
tremendous help which, according to him, had propelled the agency to
accomplish a number of feats; but regretted however, that lack of
operational vehicles had continued to limit their achievements.
