Messi will rescind retirement decision – Romero
Argentina goalkeeper Sergio Romero believes Lionel Messi will reverse his decision to retire from international football.
Messi who is yet to win a major tournament with his country announced his retirement from international football after losing a back to back Copa America final defeat to Chile on Sunday, recording a third Copa finals loss and one World Cup final.
The Ballon d’Or winner said international football is ‘not for him’ after blazing over from the spot in the shootout defeat to Chile but national team mate, Romero feels the five time World Footballer of the Year is just upset.
Messi is Argentina’s leading goalscorer with 55 international goals in 113 appearances.

“I think he spoke in the heat of the moment because a beautiful opportunity escaped us. I can’t imagine a national team without Messi.
