She dismissed the alleged involvement of some of her officers in the recruitment scam into the Immigration Service, adding that the matter has been reported to the police.
“None of my officers has been brought to my notice as being involved in the alleged recruitment scam. I am aware that the matter has been reported to the police, it may interest you to know that the alleged fraudster is not an immigration officer. Some people allow themselves to be duped because there is no recruitment going on. So people should be conscious of the presence of fraudsters everywhere and should be careful not to fall victim.
“I want to use this medium to advise the public not to allow themselves to be duped by fraudsters. Recruitment is free even when it is being done”, she stated.
