There Is Need to rebrand the Urhobo youths – comrade Itodje Gt.

The chief executive officer of Gt9ja communications limited, founder Gt9ja blog and press secretary to chief dr amb. Gabriel etaoghenevwegba chukwuma Oyibode, comrade Itodje okiemute Godstime has said that there is need to rebrand the Urhobo youths, Abuja chapter.

Comrade Itodje made this statement during the Urhobo youths gathering that took place on Saturday at Happy Life Resort, Mpape, Abuja. He said the manner and the ways in which the union is be managed doesnot connote or denote, it is a visionary youths with focus to foster peace and unity rather it seems it is the normal community meetings that involve the business of contributions on monthly basis and contributions of money for member’s occasion especially when it comes to burial ceremonies and other eat-and-dance events!

The gathering was organized by three compatriotic, jingoistic and visionary Urhobo youths – Comrade Itodje Okiemute Godstime, Usifo Luke and Ajada Israel; it was a gathering whereby the conflicts within…that militate against the progress of the union are to be resolved and to also find tune palliative measures for the way forward of the union. 

Mr. usifo told the gathering that the Urhobo youths, Abuja chapter has not be well organized and managed by the administrators. He is of the opinion that if the conflicts between the chairman, Mr. Japhet Agoda and Vice Chairman, Mr. Godwin Oyibo is resolved, the executives of the body will be dissolved.

Speaking further, Ajada Israel said there is urgent need to dissolve the house but we shall not jump into electing or appointing new officials. ‘one of the major problems we have in the union is that, all the major positions are head by people from Jesse Town in Ethiope West Local Government Area of Delta State and it is not supposed to be so. Because of this, many of us from other who are not from Jesse nor Ethipe West in the union feel cheated and not satisfied with the leadership structure. We shall not rush rather we will make consultations with all the Urhobo youths in Abuja and it shall not be Mpape Urhobo youth but the kind of Urhobo youths gathering or union that will involve all the Urhobo youths in the whole of Abuja, Mr. Ajada stated.

We shall rebrand the union in a way that our visions and missions will be well defined. We must have set goals and objectives to achieve. We are using this opportunity to invite all Urhobo youths in the whole of the federal capital territory to come and let us have a round table discussions on peace, unity and development of Urhobo land, delta state and Nigeria in general, comrade Itodje further emphasized.
