JWT South Africa set to roll out new Gulder campaign
South
Africa’s J Walter Thompson is the new owner of Nigerian Breweries
multimillion Naira Gulder account and the agency is expected to rollout
the first set of Gulder campaign before the end of 2016.
The
brief was awarded to the global advertising network a couple of months
back after the brewery giant ended its relationship with Insight
Communications, which warehoused the account for several years.
A
source close to the company said that the South African agency has
began working on the business and will likely roll-out in December.
However,
until December when the new campaign is due, Gulder will continue to
run on current campaign. The “na man you be” campaign was done by a
little known advertising agency based in Ikeja.
Since
the campaign was launched, it has gathered traction among stakeholders
in the industry who applauded the ad agency for its insight and creative
depth.
It
is not clear why NB Plc withdrew the account from Insight, but sources
close to the company said it wanted a new approach to its marketing
communications.
However,
Gulder is not the only NB Plc brand warehoused with JWT, the
Johannersburg based ad shop is also the owner of the much coveted Star
account.
JWT
World Wide operates in over 200 offices and more than 90 countries
worldwide. The agency network recently celebrated its 150 anniversary
