Vardy dreams big with Musa at Leicester
Leicester City forward, Jamie Vardy is very positive that he can form a formidable strike partnership with club-record signing, Ahmed Musa as the season officially gets underway this weekend.
The fleet-footed Musa joined the Foxes for a club record fee of £15m from Russian side CSKA Moscow this summer and he has already been showing glimpse that he is money well spent.
The Nigerian international has been compared with Vardy in terms of style of play but the Englishman is confident they can both forge a potent attacking force.
“He is quick. I’ve seen him before. I’ve watched him in the Champions League at home when he played for CSKA Moscow and he always had that speed and obviously he can finish well,” Vardy told the Leicestermercury.co.uk.
“Hopefully, it will bring another aspect to our strike force. ”
For Vardy, Musa is welcome addition as he brings more competition to the Foxes attacking set-up
“It is good having competition. The more competition you ‘ve got the extra everyone puts in on the training ground wanting to get into gaffer’s plans and it can benefit the squad,” Vardy submitted.
