Rio2016|Fears heighten over stranded Mikel,others

Will the poor travel plans affect Mikel and his teammates?
There are fears over the prolonged stay of John Obi Mikel and his Dream Team VI teammates in Atlanta barely a day to their opening group clash against Japan in the Men’s football event of the Rio Olympics.

Coach of the Nigeria U-23 team Samson Siasia had long raise an alarm that there was no travel plans for his team; a move that has seen him incur the wrath of the Sports Minister Solomon Dalung who also have claimed to have arrested the situations and that a chartered plane has been secured.
For three days running, it has been back and forth that the Dream Team will leave Atlanta for Manus but as at the time of filing this report the team was still no way near the airport lot alone Brazil.
The U-23 Eagles who are hoping to match the Atlanta 1996 set who won gold 20 years ago will face Japan on Thursday night, 2am Friday Nigerian time and there are fears that jet-lag may be an issue when the chase for gold finally begins.
