Pogba eyeing Ballon d’Or
Having assumed the enviable status of being the most-expensive player in the world, new Manchester United signing, Paul Pogba now has his eyes on winning the Ballon d’Or
Pogba who on Tuesday completed a world-record move to Old Trafford with a transfer fee of £89m which saw him overtake the Real Madrid duo of Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale says being crowned the best footballer in the world is now his new dream.
Aside his personal dream of becoming the world’s best player, the 23-year old midfielder also revealed his desire to help United back to the top of both English and European football.
“I want to win the league for the first time with United, because I hadn’t won the league when I left. The Champions League of course. And, personally, one of my dreams is to win the Ballon d’Or,” he told MUTV.
“That will come with time, hopefully, but first I want to win the Premier League, which I have never done.”
Pogba won four consecutive Serie A titles during his time with Juventus and he has since been handed the Number 6 jersey at United.
