Onazi waves emotional goodbye to Lazio

The 23-year-old flew into Turkey yesterday for his medicals before signing a four-year deal at the club worth €5m (1.8billion).
He posted on his instagram page: “It all started five years ago. Big thank all the great Lazio fans who stood by me when the time was rough and when we all smile. God bless you all. I will always be praying for you all.”

Onazi who is a product of My People FC has been one of the most sorted after midfielder in Europe in recent seasons with the likes of Liverpool, Watford, and big money spenders in the Chinese Super League after his services.
The Super Eagles star joined the youth ranks of Lazio in 2011 and was promoted to the first team the following season where he rewarded his manager’s trust with some solid performances.
Onazi scored his first senior goal for Lazio on 7 March 2013 against Stuttgart in the last sixteen of the Europa League. He followed that up with his first Serie A goal in a 3–1 win over Inter Milan on 8 May 2013.
He showed his knack for scoring in big games when he netted against Napoli on 13 April 2014 and in September 2014 he earned a two-year extension to his Lazio contract snubbing a move to Everton, Southampton and Sunderland.
