Official | Benteke joins Eagles
Liverpool striker Christian Benteke has completed his move to join Crystal Palace who are fondly referred to as the Eagles.
On Friday, manager Alan Pardew all but confirmed that the Belgian international would be moving to Selhurst Park and Palace have now confirmed that the 25-year-old has become an Eagles player.
Palace have said that the fee for Benteke – who has signed a four-year deal – will remain undisclosed but it is reported to be in the region of £30m.
Benteke told the club’s official website: “I’m very happy to commit my future to Crystal Palace and I’m looking forward to meeting the manager, the players and the staff.
“I feel really happy that the deal has been done and now I can look forward.”
Benteke leaves Liverpool having scored 10 goals in 42 games, although at least half of those appearances came from the bench.
