It’s easy to reject Wenger’s Arsenal – Vardy

Leicester and England striker Jamie Vardy says rejecting a move to Arsenal it was an “easy” decision to make.
Arsenal attempted to land the 29-year-old at the Emirates Stadium in June after triggering a £20m release clause in the player’s contract. However Vardy, who was away on international duty with England at Euro 2016 at the time, turned down the offer and committed his future to the Premier League champions by penning a new four-year deal.

Vardy in an exclusive interview with Sky Sports Vardy said he never held talks with Arsenal during that period and insists he still has “unfinished business” with Leicester and as he hopes Riyad Mahrez will follow him by remaining with the Foxes.
“It’s not been put out there that I have always said the boys, the close-knit brotherhood, is unbelievable and for me, there’s a lot of unfinished business here.
“I feel that the club is only going one way and that is forward, that’s why I want to be a part of it.
“It wasn’t that big [the decision] when I think about it. It was quite easy and this is where I want to be.” Vardy stated.
Recent reports in the press have linked Vardy’s Leicester team-mate and Algerian star Riyad Mahrez with a move to Arsenal.
And Leicester manager Claudio Ranieri has warned the Algeria winger who has reportedly agreed a £41.8m Arsenal deal that he risks ending up on the bench if he decides to leave this summer.
