Excl: Siasia replaces Azubuike with Ndifreke

Ndifreke Effiong Udo will be the player who replaces suspended vice-captain Okechukwu Azubuike in Nigeria’s midfield when they play Germany in one of the semifinals of the Olympic Games tonight, fcnaija.com can confirm.
The Abia Warriors defender has featured sparingly for the team at the Games, but started their last group game against Colombia and played at right-back.

He will make his second start for the Dream Team tonight, but will play in a midfield position as a direct replacement for Azubuike, who received a second booking in the quarter final win against Denmark, fcnaija.com has scooped.
There will however be no other changes to the starting 11 from the win over Denmark, with Ndifreke the only change.
Also as reported by fcnaija.com, Oghenekaro Etebo misses out after failing to recover from the injury he sustained in the loss to Colombia.
Nigeria’s starting 11 is as follows: Emmanuel Daniel (GK); Shehu Abdullahi, William Troost-Ekong, Sincere Seth, Stanley Amuzie; Ndifreke Effiong Udo, Usman Mohammed, John Obi Mikel; Aminu Umar, Ezekiel Imoh, Sadiq Umar
The game kicks-off at 8pm Nigerian time and will see the Dream Team qualify for the Gold medal match if they win.
