Dream Team to wear green against Colombia
The Nigeria Olympic football team will now wear the traditional green
jersey for their final group game against Colombia, fcnaija.com can
confirm.
The Nigeria Football Federation had earlier announced that the team will wear their alternate white jersey for the dead-rubber final group B clash, but latest developments now mean the Dream Team will be on the traditional green when they file out against their South American counterparts.
“Nigeria’s Dream Team to put on its traditional Green jersey in its match against Colombia, technical meeting over rules the white jersey, so players have now been handed 2 sets of green jerseys for the game,” team press officer Timi Ebikagboro said in a statement.
The Nigerians have already qualified to the quarterfinals of the football event of the Olympic Games irrespective of the outcome of the result against Colombia.
They have also qualified as group B winners, and could now face hosts Brazil in their quarters if the hosts can manage to qualify.
