Arsenal target Mahrez set to stay with Musa

Riyad Mahrez is set to remain at Leicester City with Ahmed Musa after it emerged Arsenal were yet to make an official bid for him contrary to earlier reports.
Mahrez’s representatives met with Leicester director of football Jon Rudkin on Wednesday and it is now expected he will remain at the Kind Power Stadium.

There were reports Arsenal had made a massive bid for the Algerian but it has now emerged the Gunners have not made any bid for him.
Leicester have insisted Mahrez will not be sold, but are expected to budge if they receive a huge offer for him, but are still holding on to their prized asset since no club have made such an offer for him.
The 26-year old scored 17 times and had 11 assists for Leicester as they won a first ever Premier League title last season, and eventually becoming the PFA Player of the year also.
His form prompted reports that Arsenal have made bids for him and even though it is understood Arsene Wenger is a huge admirer, they are yet to make an approach.
“It is not a distraction for me. I am used to speaking about these things,” Leicester manager Claudio Ranieri said in a press conference.
“It is important that my players believe in the new moment. It is normal others wants Riyad but we must focus on the job.”
