Siasia blames players, fatigue for loss to South Korea

Nigeria U23 coach Samson Siasia has blamed their travel schedule for the opening day loss at the invitational tournament in South Korea, as well as his player.
The Dream Team VI as they are called, were beaten 1-0 by hosts South Korea on Thursday in their first game of the four-nation tournament and speaking after the game, Siasia said they went into the game tired following the long flight to the Asian country.

“The flight didn’t help matters, but then that is not an excuse for us not getting at least a point from this game,” he told the NFF website.
“The goal scored by the Koreans was made possible because my players were adopting offside tactics; I don’t know where they got that idea from as we have never kept offside in all our trainings and games.
“I am happy the NFF did everything to make us come for this competition as it has exposed the boys to see things from a bigger perspective, even though I wanted us to win this game to boost our confidence. The boys now know that they have to sit up in the other games,” he added.
The Nigerian side is preparing for the Olympic Games in Rio, Brazil, which starts from the 4^th of August.
