Ronaldo infuriates kit manufacturers Adidas
Adidas chiefs are reportedly upset with Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo following his celebration in last Saturday’s 2015/16 UEFA Champions League final in Milan, Italy.
Ronaldo scored the decisive spot-kick in the shootout after Yannick Carrasco 79th-minute equalizer cancelled out a first-half strike by Sergio Ramos to force a penalty shoot out after a barren extra time play.
The Portuguese forward who is a Nike player after striking the winning penalty in the final shootout against Atletico Madrid ripped off his adidas-sponsored Real Madrid shirt and sprinted away.
Adidas chiefs are furious they’ve missed out on millions of dollars of free publicity with Ronaldo’s celebration being shown around world without his Real Madrid top.
Meanwhile, reports say the kit manufacturers are in talks with Real about an improved kit deal.
