NPFL: MFM Coach dedicates Nasarawa win to Keshi
Head coach of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries FC Fidelis Ilechukwu has dedicated his team’s latest win over Nasarawa United to the Late Stephen Keshi.
The Olukoya Boys completed a season double over the Solid Miners at the Agege Township Stadium on Wednesday as they beat their visitors 2-0 and for Coach Ilechukwu, the victory is to be dedicated to the memory of the Big Boss who died at 54-years after a Cardiac arrest.
“I am glad that we were able to secure maximum points today (Wednesday) against Nasarawa,” he began
He continued: “It’s been a sad day for everyone in the football fraternity if you know what the Late Keshi meant to people like us as players and now as a coach. Personally I’m grieved by his dead and i’d like to dedicate today’s victory to the Late “Big Boss” Keshi.
“Nigeria has lost a legend, a leader and a great son. My thought goes out to those he has left behind especially his children. May his soul Rest in Peace,” the MFM Coach concluded
Sikiru Olatunbosun put Nasarawa United to the sword with his second brace of the season; scoring in the 18th and 28th minutes of the midweek clash.
The 2-0 win has taken the Olukoya Boys who were placed on 9th spot on the table to the sixth position with 30 points from 19 league matches.
Next up is Port Harcourt where MFM FC will confront Rivers United FC who lost 1-2 in the reverse fixture at the Agege stadium, Lagos.
