Nigerians in diaspora host tourism conference in Austria

Nigerians in the Dias­pora Organisation Eu­rope (NIDOE), is set to host the first ever tourism promotion conference since its formation years ago.

The debutant event, which has received the support of all NIDO Europe Chapter chair­persons, is billed for Vienna, Austria on July 1 and will be hosted by the Austrian chapter under the leadership of Engr Oluyemi Ogundele.

The main objective of the conference is to scout for in­vestors for the tourism sector in Nigeria and expose them to the potential and benefits to be derived from investing in the country’s vast and rich tourism industry.

The main target groups of the conferecence will be oth­er Nigerians and Africans in the Diaspora as well as the Eu­ropeans expected to be in at­tendance. The different state tourism boards and minis­tries in Nigeria including the Nigerian Tourism Develop­ment Corporation and the Ministry of Information and Culture are expected to pre­sent their projects and pro­motions to attendees.

With the theme: Why won­der, visit the wonderland, the grand finale of the event be­ing organised by the Yoruba (Egbe Omo Oduduwa) in Vi­enna, will be a Nigerian cul­tural festival billed to hold on July 2.
