Kidnapped Kogi judge regains freedom

Abductors of Justice Isiyaka Momoh-Jimoh Usman, a judge with Kogi State Customary Court of Ap­peal have freed him from captivity.

In a statement issued yesterday in Lokoja by the Spokesman of the state Ministry of Justice, Mr Saeed Saqeeb, he said that the judge was released in Okene area at about 7 pm on Tuesday, adding that the judge has since reunited with his family members.

It would be recalled that Justice Usman was return­ing to Lokoja when he was abducted at gun point along Itakpe-Okene road on June 12.

His Police orderly, Cpl Abubakar Aba, was shot dead by the abductors while his driver was also shot severally but escaped miraculously.
