Golden Eaglets manager, Manu Garba has hailed late Stephen Keshi as exemplary.According to his family, the former Super Eagles manager died in his home in Benin City after suffering a cardiac arrest.
“As a player he was a great leader and led the national team to great successes,” Garba said.
“He won the nations Cup for Nigeria as an indigenous coach and qualified Nigeria for the World Cup. His exemplary leadership is something to be emulated.”
Manu Garba who is currently organizing screening for the new U-17 team expressed hope that things will be fine with the four kids left behind by Stephen Keshi who also lost his wife in December, 2015.
“Everyone has an appointed time with death but I hope God will forgive him all his sins and I wish the family well especially the kids who are without a father and a mother,” An emotional Garba added.
“I believe that those who are close-by should take care of the children especially those in the footballing sector.
“Infact am short of words.”
