Ibrahimovic to fly to England to complete United move
Manchester United are expected to complete the signing of Zlatan
Ibrahimovic before the start of the Euros as he is expected to fly to
Manchester to complete a stunning switch to Old Trafford, according to
The Mirror.
The 34-year old is a free agent after his contract at Paris Saint-Germain expired, and he is said to have been negotiating with Manchester United.
Ibrahimovic is keen to link up with Jose Mourinho as the pair are very close and the United boss is desperate to sign him.
Ibrahimovic is currently on international duty in Stockholm but may be allowed to fly to England to complete the deal.
United would have to pay him a huge £300,000 a week but will offset that against no transfer fee as he is a free agent.
The deal may include a one year option to extend but it is a huge coup for United.
Ibrahimovic is one of the biggest stars in the world and a huge vote winner for Mourinho.
Ibrahimovic has remained coy over questions about his future during the build-up to the Euros.
The 34-year-old has been linked with moves to a host of other Premier League clubs, while offers from China have also come in. However, during a recent press conference, Ibrahimovic kept his cards close to his chest.
He said: “I want you to still write a lot of stories, so I get excited when I see them, because I want to see who is making up the best story.”
And it now appears Old Trafford is his destination.
