Former Super Eagles manager says Ronaldo and Pepe are actors

Former Super Eagles manager, Lars Lagerback, has labeled both Cristiano Ronaldo and Pepe as seasoned actors who can have a career in Hollywood as soon as they hang up their boots.
“We’ve seen some Portuguese players diving. Portugal have one of the best players in the world in Ronaldo but he’s also an excellent actor.”
He was referring to the theatrics displayed by the Portuguese duo in the UEFA Champions League final against Atletico Madrid, which they won on penalties.

“In the final of the Champions League against Atletico, we saw another performance from someone who could be in Hollywood.
‘I mention Pepe. I mean, you can see the clips. For me, that is acting, really, of high class. But I don’t know what demands they have in Hollywood.
“I don’t like that. I’d like it if they were able to watch the videos to retrospectively punish that sort of thing,” Lagerback added.
Lagerback was in charge of the Super Eagles at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa on a short contract from the Nigeria Football Federation.
The highly esteemed Swedish tactician performed a minor miracle, as the 300,000-strong country is the smallest country ever to qualify for a major tournament.
Their most famous name – Eidur Gudjohnsen, will appear at a football tournament for the first time for his country at 37 while Lagerback has said he would be retiring from coaching at the end of France 2016.
Group F consists of Austria, Hungary, Portugal and Iceland, and most pundits have predicted that Portugal should finish as leaders of the group.
