Dosu: Give Salisu Super Eagles job

Former Nigeria international Dosu Joseph has backed interim coach of the Super Eagles Salisu Yusuff for the top job.
The three-time African champions have been without a manager since Sunday Oliseh resigned from the post in February.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) have made no secret of their intensions to employ a foreign manager but Dosu who was part of the victorious Dream Team at the Atlanta 96’ Olympics believes that Salisu can do a good job after leading Nigeria to recent victories over Mali and Luxembourg.
“It depends on what the federation wants – if they want a foreign coach, fine but if they want a Nigeria, fine also but I think we should just go for our people,” Dosu said.
“Salisu has been in the Nigerian league for long, he has also been an assistant in the national team so he knows the players in and out. For me, he has done well in the games he has handled so far - I think he should be given the opportunity and allowed to do the job.
“However, the NFF has the final say because they don’t ask Nigerians before they make decisions but for me, the little time Salisu has been there he has done well,” he concluded.
