Besiktas return for Mikel

Reports from Turkey suggest that Besiktas may have reignited their interest in Chelsea’s Nigeria international midfielder John Obi Mikel.
According to the Turkish Super Lig broadcaster LigTv , the Black Eagles are preparing a replacement for Atiba Hutchinson if the Canada international leaves over the summer.
Mikel is understood to be at the top of Besiktas’  wish list in this summer transfer window and the Istanbul giants will table an offer for the 29-year-old if Atiba joins West Ham United.

The Nigeria international had before now being reported to have turned down a £110k-a-week offer from Galatasaray back in January following the appointment of Guus Hiddink. Mikel returned to form after struggling for game time under Jose Mourinho.
Besiktas have established close ties with Chelsea over the past few seasons and approached the Blues for consultation on restructuring the academy and scouting system last season.
Recall that Besiktas signed Demba Ba from the Blues last season and star winger Gökhan Tore was also a former Chelsea player.
Aside Nigeria former Nigeria international Daniel Amokachi has also starred for the club
