UEFA CL: Oliseh lauds former team-mate Zidane

Former Super Eagles handler Sunday Oliseh has congratulated his former team-mate Zinedine Zidane who as Real Madrid manager led the Los Blancos to their 11th UEFA cahmpions League title in Milan on Saturday.
Zidane who took over from Rafael Benitez in January has watched from the sidelines as his team battled to 5-3 win over Atletico Madrid on penalties, securing his first title as a coach to join the league of  individuals who have won the trophy as a player and and as a coach.

Oliseh, who played alongside the 1998 World Cup winner with France at Juventus during the 1999/2000 season took to twitter after the game to commend his former team-mate for his latest career achievement.
“Congrats to Zidane for a lightning return to the top of World football. As he used to insist 2 me at Juventus: positive thinking is everything
Miguel Muñoz, Giovanni Trapattoni, Johan Cruyff, Pep Guardiola, Carlo Ancelotti and Frank Rijkaard have all won the competition as a player and as coach.
Oliseh who spend barely eight months as the Super Eagles coach resigned terminated hsi appointment with the NFF on February 26th, 2016 just before the team’s encounter with the pharaohs of Egypt in the AFCON qualifiers.
After a series of stand out performances for both Bordeaux and France, Zidane had offers to join Europe’s top clubs in the spring of 1996, deciding on a move to UEFA Champions League winners Juventus during the close season. Zidane’s impact in Italy was immediate, winning the 1996–97 Serie A title and the 1996 Intercontinental Cup.
In 2001, Zidane joined Real Madrid for a world record fee of 150 billion Italian lire (about €75 million) on a reported four years contract, becoming the latest addition to the Galácticos era of global stars signed by Real Madrid every year. Zidane scored a famous match-winning goal with a volley in Madrid’s 2–1 win over Bayer Leverkusen in the 2002 UEFA Champions League Final, completing his personal quadruple. The goal has been cited as one of the greatest in Champions League history.
