Super Eagles debut excites Arokoyo
Turkey-based defender, Gbenga Arokoyo has voiced out his
excitement after making his much anticipated debut with the Nigeria
national team, the Super Eagles in Friday’s friendly against the Mali
national team in Rouen, France.
It was double delight for the Gaziantepspor defender as he made a winning debut in the green and white colours.
“Am so grateful to God that I finally make my debut for the Super Eagle of Nigeria ,it is the best feeling ever and I also thank God for the victory over Mali yesterday” Arokoyo said on Saturday morning.
Arokoyo came in as an 88th minute substitute for Abulahi Shehu in the game that went down at the Stade Robert Diochon (Le Petit-Quevilly) and he would be keen for more playing time to express himself in the next game against Luxembourg next Tuesday.
Kelechi Iheanacho scored the only goal in Friday’s outing having also came in as a second half substitute for Arsenal man, Alex Iwobi
