Rio Ferdinand hails Mourinho’s United appointment

Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has taken to his facebook page to congratulate Jose Mourinho as he gets set to be announced as the new manager of the Old Trafford club.
Ferdinand, now retired from football and a respected TV pundit, hailed the former Porto, Inter Milan and Real Madrid manager as a ‘true winner’, insisting he is ‘made’ for Manchester United.
Writing on his official Facebook page, Ferdinand said: “Congratulations to Jose on being announced manager of the biggest club in the world!

 “This is Jose Mourinho’s most exciting & most challenging job yet.
“The first thing he needs to do is install ‘winning mentality’ back into the club. Get this ingredient back into the players but also the people that work inside the club day to day. Give them back that belief so it is breathing throughout the club again, which is so important. But doing the above in the Manchester United way is equally as important.
Meanwhile, luxury car makers, Jaguar, congratulated Mourinho on becoming the new Manchester United manager on twitter, before pulling down the tweet.
Their message read: ‘Congratulations to Jose Mourinho on his @ManUtd appointment. He’ll always be the #TheFrozenOne to us.’
Mourinho is a brand ambassador for Jaguar, and it remains unclear how they will continue working together, given United have another car maker, Cheverolet as shirt sponsor.
