Zidane leaves Real Madrid

Zinedine Zidane’s son Enzo is set to join Middlesbrough on loan ahead of the new season, reports the Daily Mail.
Real Madrid are set to send the youngster on loan to Aitor Karanka’s Middlesbrough, with the aim of giving him the opportunity of playing more regularly.

The 21-year old Zidane Jnr. is also believed to have other offers from clubs in Spain, and will need to assess his options before deciding whether to join ‘Boro or one of the Spanish sides interested in him.
Enzo, who is one of Zidane’s four sons who all play at different levels at Real Madrid, was featured in the pre-season friendly games against Chelsea and PSG.
And while he may not have done enough to warrant a place in the Real first team, he has however done well enough to earn a loan move away, which the club believes will better serve him than returning to the B side.
If the deal to Middlesbrough were to go through however, fans at the Riverside may be disappointed to see that the young Zidane prefers his mother’s maiden – Fernandez – name on the back of his shirt, rather than Zidane.
It is more likely to be a Fernandez instead of a Zidane shirt hanging up in the club shop – unless Boro’s commercial department could persuade him otherwise.
