Nigerian star signs four-year deal with Chelsea

The 18-year-old who has represented England at Under-19 level but still eligible to represent Nigeria is currently with the Blues on pre-season tour of the United States revealed his delight after signing for his childhood club.
“It’s good for me, a confidence booster knowing I did well last year and being rewarded with a new contract. Now I’ve got to improve and show my worth,” he told the club’s official website.

“It’s been good to spend the pre-season with the first team, to learn from the older players and know what it’s like to be on a tour and see how they are preparing for the season.”
Tomori went on to reveal his experience with working under new manager Antonio Conte.
“We wake up and go to breakfast at around 8.30 before we head off to training which here in Minnesota is about 25 minutes away, we train hard, go back to the hotel for lunch, have a bit of downtime and then there’s often a team meeting after we’ve had a rest” he said.
“Then it’s off to training again before dinner and a rest. It’s chilled out for us but when we train then it’s obviously very serious and hard work, which is good.
“The manager wants us to work hard and get into shape quickly so it’s taxing on the body and we all have certain things we have to do that will help us.
