Juventus hand Evra contract extension

Former Manchester United defender Patrice Evra has signed a contract extension with Serie A champions Juventus.
The new deal which will keep him at the club until at least June 30 2017 includes an option for a further year. Confirming the contract extension for the 35-year old left back, Juventus in a statement on its official website wrote:
“Evra has signed a contract renewal with Juventus until June 30, 2017,  with an option for a further season.

“For “Pat” begins the race to new successes, after having a huge specific weight in winning two league titles, as many Italian Cup and Italian Super Cup. For his contribution on the field, of course, where he brought a dowry class and experience , but also for what he has been able to give to the dressing room with his extraordinary charisma.” Juventus stated
Reacting to the new deal, the 35-year-old star who is part of the France squad attempting to win Euro 2016 on home soil said:
“I won everything with Manchester, but Evra of Juventus has not won anything for the moment. Check with great humility and desire to work, because I like to win and I chose this team to continue to do so.
“I wake up every day thinking I’m lucky to have the chance to win a fifth straight scudetto. And now this possibility we’re throwing away. ” Evra told the Old Lady’s official website.
Evra joined Juventus from Manchester United two seasons ago and has since won five trophies – two league titles, two Italian Cups and one Italian Super Cup.
During his time at Old Trafford, Evra won five Premier League titles, three League Cups and the Champions League.
France will open the tournament when they play Romania in Paris on Friday.
