Fun in Ibiza: The Exciting Heineken Football Party

I got a call from the Heineken brand team inviting fcnaija.com to be one of their guests to experience the Champions League Biggest Party at the Spanish island of Ibiza in an event tagged the Heineken Ibiza Final.
The Heineken Ibiza Final Party is a consumer activation for over 700 lucky prize winners from all over the world, to experience the VIP private screening of the UEFA Champions League Final.
I immediately set out to Murtala Mohammed International Airport to join 18 other beautiful Nigerians to make the once-in-a-lifetime trip.

I was delighted to see Darey Art Alade and Stephanie Coker in the line-up.

Day One
We arrived the famous Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam in the early hours of the morning and headed out straight to our hotel and took some rest before setting out to have lunch and then visit the world acclaimed Heineken Experience located at the heart of city.
We were taken through the various stages on how the Heineken Beer is brewed and also learned about its rich history.
Little wonder, the Heineken is available in over 170 countries in the world. We all retreated to our various rooms to have some rest and prepare for our flight to Ibiza, schedule for early hours of the next day.

Day Two
We landed on Ibiza, the third largest of the Balearic Islands surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea at about 11.am and the weather was perfect and different from that of Amsterdam.
We arrived into the waiting hands of the pretty Heineken hostesses, who greeted us and directed us to our transfer. We immediately headed to the Marina Ibiza and had lunch.
Our hotel isn’t far away and overlooking the sea, what a sight to behold.

We had some hours to kill and most of us spent the time; getting to know more about the city by taking walk around the hotel neighbourhood and not to forget drinking Heineken beer, which were available in our various rooms.
Then comes the Heineken Ibiza Party, which has become part of the famous Island pop culture, the event herald the start of the party season of Europe.
We all (hundreds of Heineken guests from different countries) were all gathered for the ultimate viewing experience of this year’s Champions League final between two Spanish giants Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid and ending with a VIP exclusive party for over 800 guests at the Heineken Bay in Santa Eulalia del Rio.
The Heineken Ibiza Final can be aptly described as the place to be for anyone with an interest in football.
We had the privilege of Ivan Helguera and Maniche,two famous stars from both teams playing the final match to be a part of the party.
The game was shown from a giant LED screen and complete with side entertainment with music supplied by some of the hottest DJs. Not to forget lots of food and Heineken drinks. Fortunately for me but to the chagrin of Darey Art Alade, my team Real Madrid won the Champions League. We then enter into the party mood.

Day Three
After an eventful party the previous day, we embarked on a boat cruise along the Balearic coastline, we were treated to some of the best music by the guest DJ right in the middle of the sea, coupled with a live saxophone performance by Anastasia.
The high point of the cruise was when the Champions League Trophy was brought on-board the boat. We were then brought back to shore and headed out to the beach to continue with the fun.
We left and took some rest, before we heading for mother of all parties at the heart of Ibiza.
