Ohanaeze youths condemn killing of Biafra protesters
Ohanaeze Youth Council (OYC) has strongly condemned the killing of
unarmed Biafran activists in Onitsha and other parts of the South East
who were marking the Biafran anniversary day yesterday.
The National President of OYC, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, who spoke with
The AUTHORITY in Umuahia said, “It is against international law for
the army to use live bullets on unarmed protesters.”
He argued that it was wrong for security operatives to descend on
peaceful protesters who committed no crime other than express their
opinions which is their inalienable fundamental human rights.
He said it was wrong for the security operatives to embark on another
ethnic cleansing of Ndigbo under the guise of quelling a protest.
