Ghana's Pantsil arrested for beating up cop inside police station

Former Premier League star John Pantsil has reportedly been arrested for beating up a cop inside a police station.
The ex- Leicester, Fulham and West Ham defender was said to have slapped a senior commander in the right e y e following an order for his arrest.
Panstil, who made 75 appearances for Fulham between 2008 and 2011, was in the station after his wife Richlove reportedly accused him of stealing her car.
The Ghana star, 34, was said to have blown a fuse during the interrogation and that was when he lashed out at DSP Emmanuel Basintale, who required medical treatment.
A police statement said: “When both parties were invited by the police for interrogation, we realized John Paintsil was not ready to cooperate and in the course of interrogation became very furious and decided to leave the meeting.
“It was at this point that the District Commander instructed that he should be arrested and a statement taken from him.
“Because he was not satisfied with that he assaulted the district commander.
“He hit him in the right eye and also pushed the investigator. So it took some few police personnel to get him arrested.”
