Culture Queen tasks parents on children mental, moral growth

Ahead of this year’s Childrens’ Day celebration, the reigning queen of Face of Culture Africa, Queen Jennifer Adaeze, has called on parents and guardians to ensure the proper development of the mental and moral capacities of their children and wards.

Adaeze made the call in a statement made available yesterday to The AUTHORITY, in which she rolled out a campaign to help children develop their intellect as well as activities to celebrate with the Childrens’ Day with the children.

“An opportunity such as this provides the fulcrum for us to reflect and take cognizance of the vulnerability and sensitivity of children as well as the role we all have to play in moulding their character, attitudes and approach to life.

“In an effort to help steer children in the right direction as well as implant positive traits of unity and competition in their lives, I shall be organizing a Football Competition for them, a Talent Hunt Show as well as a Reading Competition among others. These are all activities and programmes geared towards developing the mental strength and abilities of the child.

“It is therefore incumbent on me as the reigning queen of culture to embark on these programmes as I strongly believe that children are the leaders of tomorrow,” she stated.

The Culture queen stated that her campaign dubbed, “Our Children, Our Future”, which she said, is basically a bugle call to parents to infuse correct principles, values and proper conduct into their children, is geared towards helping the children secure their future.

Adaeze stated that she would also be visiting orphanage homes as well as IDPs camps in Benue and Borno states, where she said, homes would be given to the Internally Displaced Persons as well as special presentations to the underprivileged. She also assured that she would take full responsibility in the payment of tuition fees for exceptional pupils in the primary levels.
